Ditty Bag, known since 1800, is the first bag made by sailors with shreds of canvas sails and equipped with laborious hand-woven handles. Once used for work tools, now it becomes the small casket that holds everything you need for an important evening
Today we wanted to reinterpret this tradition, recovering parts of sails that are over 40 years old, jealously guarded in our archive. Rings and carabiners are oxidized by sea salt and are enriched with hand stitching that is no longer present on modern sails today.
Each Ditty bag COLLECTION is made by highlighting the details that make it unique through a work of careful recovery and assembly. The handles are handmade according to the ancient knotting techniques which require precision and execution time.
